Karl Marx first met his countryman, Friedrich Engels, in Paris, France. They became not only closest friends for life, but they also shared the common ideas on how to make a future ideal human society finally a reality. Engels was Marx's best friend and mentor. Together, they wrote, and then they published, the Communist Manifesto.
