Ness is running, running for her life, she can't stop or it will be over

Brutus came running around the corner with a phial of glowing liquid before he spotted Nessie not too far away.

Kate heard some screaming and whipped her wand out, racing around the corner in the hall.

"That sounds like-OW!", she yelled as she crashed right into Nessie.

She looked around frantically " Oh...K-Kate" she said shaking

Kate frowned. "What's wrong? You look like Dmitry just tested out one of his potions on you.....wait a sec.....he didn't, did he?!"

"Nessie! Kate!" he yelled, running up to the two of them.

" N-No " she said " I gotta go...bye" and ran off in the other direction

Kate looked after her in bewilderment.

"What's wrong with her?!". Suddenly, she heard a growl from behind them.

*gulp*, Kate looked at Brutus. "Uhh...did you hear that?"

"I did," said Brutus in reply to Kate's question, walking towards her.

Nethangli ran " Oh shit oh shit oh shit" she muttering running inside the manor

Kate shot a scared look at Brutus.

"Uhhh...do you wanna come and go see what that is, or should we take this as an opportune moment to run?", she asked, slightly nervous as a small ripping sound echoed after the growl. She pulled her wand out.

Brutus thought on that for a moment.
"I think we should investigate what it is," he answered, extending his wand from his gauntlet.

Kate nodded.

She then conjured some armor, a few knives, and a club.

"J-just to be safe"

"Smart," stated Brutus.

Kate tossed him a knife. "Okay, let's go". She started walking down the hall.

Brutus caught the blade and held it in his vacant hand. He took a step forward, peering down the hallway.

Kate hurried after him, and another growl echoed through the house.

"Where is it coming from?" he asked.

"I think it's coming from the basement", Kate pointed down a rickety set of stairs, covered in dust.

"C'mon....but you go first, ok? that way, if it's hungry, I can feed you to it and run", Kate winked at Brutus to let him know she was (sort of) kidding.

"Comforting," he jested before descending the stairs and reaching out to the doorknob.

"Don't!", yelled Kate, yanking him back. "Do it THIS way..."

She pointed her wand at the door, which blew up.

"Nice." He unsheathed the dagger and raised his wand, pointing it into the basement.
