I loved the ending.. including the epilogue bit. I think that leaves the world open for books about the younger generation. Brilliant, that.

I agree, ArwenR. The epilogue left so much open and now the fans, including me, are wanting more books. Jo Rowling already made clear that there are not going to be any other books. So, the epilogue didn't ruin it, nessisarily, but now it leaves us hanging.

I liked the regular ending but I don't like the epilogue. I don't necessarily think it ruined the end, but I thought it should have not been as sappy and had more info or she shouldn't have had one at all.
