I'd love if they did, it would be interesting, but it's nice to be left wondering. Plus, what would they write about, Voldemort's dead and he was really the reason the story went on for so long.
Besides, it's nice to write fanfics about their kids and what you think happened.
i agree with a prequal because we know so much about the harry potter war what about the 1st war and besides i don't want to know about any harry ginny kids more about harry and hermione's kids.
As obsessed as i am with the series, it would not be a good idea to add an eighth book considering voldemort's already dead and j.k. already wrote what happens 19 years later...
First. It's their. xP
And second. J.K. Rowling said it would be stupid learning about the kids, but I don't. It kind of defeats the fanfiction things, but at least give us the first year or something to work with!
In a recent book seris I read, a couple had a son at the end and the author didn't even give us the son's name.
Nice. Real nice.
Don't get me wrong, I love Harry Potter, the books, movies, universe, carachters etc, but enough's enough. It's perfect as it is, anymore would probably ruin it.
I say yes, but ONLY because I'm a curious person by nature, and my curiosity always gets the best of me when authors decide to end a series. Don't get me wrong. I love the way the series ended, but there's always that afterthought. "What can I write about now?" I hope the next story she writes is just as good, maybe better.
There is nothing evil for them to deal with... unless you want a complete book on just the lives of the average preteen, I think a series this good should stay ended on top. Also, you do not want to see the books just fade into nothing like so many other overlong series have done. End on a high note and it will be remembered as even better.

not a movie though.
if she made a book i would have to read it but might not like it.
And as for chaos, imagine that someone found the
Resurrection Stone and stupidly summoned up Voldemort.
