I wouldn't want to be a ghost because that would mean I was dead. House Elves are bound to serve wizards and are often mistreated. Centaurs are intelligent and strong, so that's what I would want to be, or a hippogriff because they're really cool.

Being a ghost would mean that I'd be dead and a stupid coward.
Being a House Elf would most likely mean I'd be a servant, and that would be horrible in every way.
Being a Talking Painting would mean I'd be just that, afterall, a painting.
A Centaur, though, is an elegant, intelligent and smart creature, who, in my opinion, don't belong to this list.
An hippogriff would be nice too, but I wouldn't be able to think, though I would be able to fly. Cool :)
