But as he grows up and evolve into an adult confronted with harsh choices to make (killing Dumbledore ? disobeying Voldemort ? betraying Harry or not ? obeying Bellatrix ?), I would be tempted to say that he has developped a certain brand of courage. The courage of NOT playing the part expected from him.
He was also quite a coward when he became a Death Eater. Draco feared him in every way and failed his mission in killing Voldemort. Also in The Deathly Hallows Draco and his parents all were cowards when Voldemort was in their house.

maybe that was just my sadistic part talking....
:) I think you meant that Draco "failed his mission in killing Dumbledore". That to me was one of his few shows of bravery. He was scared for his life, was surrounded by death eaters and his aunt who kept pressuring him to kill Dumbledore. He knew Voldemort would kill him if the task wasn't fulfilled, yet he couldn't bring himself to do the wrong thing.
