If they didn't get a divorce their show probably would have lasted. I personally loved the show even before everything went down. However, the show brought them the divorce with all of the drama surrounding it. They became popular because of it, and that is how the Jon rumors were exposed in the first place. There are many different sides you could argue surrounding this topic!

I think the show should of lasted, divorce is apart of life. It could of should how kids react to a divorce or life changes.
I belive the would of still been married if it was not for the show, once people started telling Jon his wife treated him like a dog, he changed, also he probably got young girls coming after him when he became popular, from the TV show. (to much temtation)
