IS THIS AN ERROR!? Arthur says "All I know is that both of my parents died of magic..." WHY DOES HE THINK IGRAINE DIED OF MAGIC, IN SINS OF THE FATHER ARTHUR BELIEVED THAT MORGAUSE WAS MAKING AN ILLUSION OF HER MOTHER.
me confused
I caught that too! Howard Overman is the writer of both episodes! ? Regarding @heartmerlin2's comment; I thought Arthur (in The Sins of the Father) was convinced that magic was not involved in his birth after all.
Correction: Arthur had been raised by Uther knowing that Magic was bad, and Uther had used his mother's death as a prime example, but never explained how she was killed. In 'The Sins of the Father' Arthur believed that Morgause made up the version that it was Uther that had an impact of his mother's death via magic. So yes, he does know she was killed by magic. This is vaguly brough up in a number of series 1 and 2 episodes.
Well Ygraine couldn't have a child so Uther asked for Nimueh's help. Nimueh used magic to help Ygraine conceive Arthur but she died during Arthur's birth. That's why magic was blamed for her death.

Yes.But Arthur didin't believe Morgause in the end and made up with Uther. This time he believed?I am confused, too.
Apparently, Arthur's mother couldn't produce an heir for the throne. Uthur, desperate for a son, went to Nimue for help. But there was a price. To crate a life, a life must be taken in exchange. Uthur knew this and was even warned but still he accepted. 9 months later, Arthur was born. But on the same day, his mother died. A life for a life. Uthur blamed Nimue for the death of his wife and has been persecuting magic usesers ever sense
