Why is P!nk so popular in Australia?

I understand P!nk is the kind of singer who has worldwide popularity, but seems like it is exceptional in Australia although she is supposed to be American singer.
I even heard that she is more popular than Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift.
What is the reason that make her so popular in Australia?
I'm just curious..
