Personally, I could not bring myself to use the dark side of the force, it would be a mental breakdown to bring me to that point.

if you play Star Wars the Old Republic, you can make multiple characters, and i made a Jedi and a Sith, i played their full story, all quests and tried to stay true to them, making the Jedi go full light side with all good choices, and the Sith full bad side with all bad choices. and my decision is this:

Jedis are pussies....
they follow a strict set of rules and the moment they step off the path they instantly lose themselves, Siths do whatever they want whenever they want, however they want, Siths have full control of what they do and if they're unfortunate to have to obey a master, then they still have the choice to overthrow their master and become their own person once again.

Siths are free to do as they wish, and Jedis can't.

That is a good point of view, how I saw the Jedi was through their regulations they gained freedom. As a missionary for my church I felt when I was more obedient I felt more at peace.

well, another thing of note was that with my Jedi, i died multiple times to show restraint to not kill innocents that attack me, but as the Sith, i went full on out, using devastating attacks, my Sith only ever died in PVP.

i'm more concerned with self preservation, rather than the task's completion.
