Alright this show has been on for almost as long as Seventh Heaven. But does anyone know exactly how long it has lasted, in years, months, days, seasons, episodes?
Smallville premiered October 16th, 2001. It finished its 8th season on May 14th, 2009, and is definitely contracted for a 9th Season, which begins filming on July 6th of this year. I believe that makes it 9 years (soon to be 10), 8 seasons (soon to be 9),and 174 episodes to date.

That actually makes it 8 years (soon to be) from when it started.
If you include 2001 (since Smallville played for approximately 3 months or so) it has been 9 years (full years, not seasons) since the series started, soon to be 10 when the show enters 2010.
