^Elfen Lied is quite possibly one of the most gory animes I've witnessed. It is a very sad anime. Virtually a girl who is somewhat of a mutant is used for test results and the result of her being tested on caused her to have psychological problems. Like going from killer to tamed infant in psyche. The way the girl kills is absolutely brutal and I don't think anyone would wish a death like she gives. She absolutely hates humanity in one of her psyches. But in her other one she is acting like a 2 year old.

There's more to it than that.
