Can I be a semi-normal sim in Sims 3 Supernatural?

I was just wondering if you can have a semi - normal or a normal family while still interacting with the special objects.

Yes! I was playing in a world with no supernatural creatures or anything and I could still learn the alchemy skill on the cauldron and use the magic mirror and all that. You just cant use the weather stone unless your a witch or fairy. Hope that helps ya out!
