Kite flying is great fun, but there are a few Thou Shalt Nots.
Thou shalt not fly thy kite near buildings or trees.
They will only cause turbulence and ruin the fun.
Thou shalt not fly thy kite near power lines.
You'll be embarrassed when you have to call the power company to get your kite down. Besides, the wait will cut into your your flying time.
Thou shalt not fly thy kite near a busy street.
Kites and traffic don't mix. Remember, if your kite causes an accident, you pay.
Thou shalt not fly thy kite in rain or thunderstorms.
Ben Franklin aside, flying a kite in a storm is a good way to get killed. That really ruins the fun of kite flying.
Thou shalt not fly thy kite within three (3) miles of an airport.
I know, I know. The winds are probably great there, but the FAA says "No Way" and the Feds can really ruin your fun.
