First of all: really bad and short fighting scenes! Clark Kent was allways the good and week superhero in smallville! He allways lost important battles in the beginning and he never had good fighting scenes! In the end, he doesn't even fight Lex/Darkside! He just flies through him and pushes the meteor away...Lex becomes president as we see in the early seasons, but he talks to clark in a nice and poetic way and clark just leaves him there without any fight/action! The makers of the serie also put a lot of emphasys on the flying! why does it have to come up in the last episode? why can clarks ''cousin'' fly allready long time ago, but for clark we need to wait until the last episode? Is flying such a great thing to leave it up to the last episode? And Oliver kills the 3 darkside people in a riddicolous way! Oliver becomes good again, after Clark talks with him, but before he was searching and seeking for a bow and other possibilities to save himself from the darkness and clark even tells him, if the evilness is inside, it won't come out again. Then another important thing: EXPLANATIONS!!! They ended the show with questions left open, like why is Jimmy alive? Or who is this lionel luthor? from the alternate univers? the evil one? so why does noone (especially oliver) do anything against him? And how can lex survive the explosion?
So shortly answering the question: The final episode was nice because it's the final episode, also the ''previous on smallville'' was very nostalgic and nice to see the very old episode parts! but there where a lot of improvements possible: 1. Better fighting scenes! 2. More thoughts about the left open questions! 3. bring back lana and pete (black schoolfriend) and all the other characters like all the superheroes and others to a final battle or the wedding, very nostalgic and nice to see the characters you haven't seen for so long...
ok, I don't feel like complaining more, I liked Smallville very much, that's why I dedicaded 10 seasons of my life for it! So make your own thoughs, just let my comment inspire you...
